Privacy
What we collect, and why.
The short version
- No cookies. This site sets none, and there is nothing to accept or reject.
- No analytics, no advertising trackers, no session recording. We do not know who visits, or how many.
- The project form is the only place we collect anything, and only what you type into it.
- Nothing is sold, rented, or shared for advertising. Ever.
This notice covers www.d3made.com. It is written in plain language and describes what the site actually does — not what a template says it might do.
Who we are
D3 Made is a single-member LLC registered in Texas, operating a design and additive manufacturing studio in Austin. For anything in this notice, write to hello@d3made.com.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not set cookies. It does not use local storage, session storage, or any similar technique to keep information on your device. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel from any network, and no heatmap or session-recording tool.
That is why you will not see a cookie banner here. Consent banners exist because a site is storing something on your device that it does not strictly need. This one is not.
Our host, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary security cookie to distinguish genuine visitors from automated traffic. It carries no advertising or profiling function and is exempt from consent requirements.
What you give us: the project form
If you start a custom project, the form asks for what we need to quote the work honestly. Nothing on it is optional theatre.
- Contact details — your name, email address, and general location (city or region).
- Project details — what you are making, what it must do, its environment and structural role, material preferences, quantity, timeline, and budget range.
- Files you attach — reference images, PDFs, and CAD or mesh files such as STL, STEP, 3MF, or OBJ.
Why we hold it
To read your brief, reply to it, quote the work, and — if you go ahead — manufacture the part. We do not add you to a mailing list. We do not send marketing you did not ask for.
Your files stay yours
Submitting a model or a drawing does not give us any right to it beyond making what you asked for. We do not publish, resell, or reuse customer geometry — not as a portfolio piece, not as a product, not as a file shared with anyone else.
Showing a photograph of a finished piece is the one exception, and it is opt-in. The form carries a tick box for it, unticked by default. Leaving it unticked costs you nothing and changes nothing about the quote. Ticking it covers photos of the finished object only — never your files or drawings. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, and we will take the photo down.
What is collected automatically
Nothing by us. Two ordinary consequences of being on the internet are worth naming:
- Server logs. Cloudflare, which hosts and serves this site, processes IP addresses and request data to deliver pages and block attacks. We do not access these logs to identify individuals.
- Fonts. Typefaces load from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google and Google receives your IP address in the process. No cookie is set by this.
Who else handles the data
The short list of services involved, and their role:
- Cloudflare Pages — hosts and serves the site.
- Basin — receives form submissions and forwards them to us by email.
- Google Workspace — our email. Your message and any attachments arrive in a mailbox there.
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces, as described above.
Each acts on our instructions for the purposes above. None of them is given your information for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Project enquiries and their attachments are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, so that we can pick up a project you return to. Records tied to a completed order are kept longer where tax and accounting rules require it. Ask us to delete your enquiry sooner and we will.
Links to other places
Our Etsy shop, Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest are run by those companies under their own privacy policies and their own cookies. Once you follow one of those links, this notice no longer applies. Purchases made through Etsy are governed by Etsy's terms and privacy policy, not ours — we receive only the order information Etsy passes to sellers.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on your jurisdiction — including the EU and UK under the GDPR, and Texas, California, and other US states with privacy statutes — you may also have the right to object to processing, request a portable copy, or lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. There is nothing to opt out of.
To exercise any of this, email hello@d3made.com. We reply within 48 hours and act within 30 days.
Children
This site is aimed at adults commissioning manufacturing work. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we add anything that collects data — analytics, an embedded video, a shop on this domain — this notice gets updated first, and a consent banner appears if one becomes legally required. The date below always reflects the current version.
